Many of the Moors & Christians associations, from all over the Murcia Region, join in making it of Regional Tourist Interest. The main parade is on the 1st May.

Apr 24th Festividad de San Vicente
Jun 1st – 4th Artists in the Streets (Artes de Calle) Artes de Calle attracts street performers from all over Spain. It’s a great opportunity to wander around the city and enjoy the entertainment. There will be all kinds of street performers such as acrobats, jugglers, street dancers, circus acts, theatre and street statues. There will also be an artisans market along Paseo de la Estacion throughout the festival.

Aug 3rd – 12th Festival of the Cante de las Minas (Songs of the Miners) This is the 57th year of this festival and includes, singing, guitar and dance. It is the most important annual flamenco event in the world. The festival aims to promote tradition and keep the songs, music and dance alive and during the 10 day event the mining town of La Union gets taken over by flamenco.

Apr 21st – 23rd Entierro de la Sardina (Burial of the Sardine) This enjoyable fiesta forms part of the programme of events for the Spring Fiestas in the city of Murcia. The burial of the sardine is on the 22nd, starting at 21:00 and finishing at 01:00 with a massive firework display. .

Feb 25th Rojales Carnival 17:00 at Malecon del Soto. Free hot chocolate for everyone in fancy dress.
May 19th – 21st San Isidro The Romeria, on Sunday morning, will start at the church in Rojales at 08:00 and take about 2 hours to reach the El Recorral Park, where all of the activities will be located. It will then return via the same route at 20:00 in the evening. The full programme will include live music, flamenco shows and much more.
June 29th San Pedro Apostle, Moors and Christians Parade Giants and large heads parading round the streets all day, accompanied by clarinet and drums.
